Mentoring

The first session would be an opportunity to explore the potential fit in terms of personal connection and the nature of support needed.  I anticipate that this would take around 1 hour, for which there is no obligation to continue and no charge.

If there is an agreement to move forward then I would require a commitment to at least one (ideally face to face) session per month; there may be a need for more than this at the early stages of engagement or if at any time a specific or urgent challenge needs addressing.

Workshops - half day

The intent of the workshops is to create an environment where leaders step away from their daily activity and engage on some critical themes that allow them to test their presumptions, listen and learn from peers and experiment with new ideas and build experience in a safe environment.  There are currently 5 modules around one of which a half-day workshop can be structured:

  • Highly effective organisations (2)

  • Role of the leader (2)

  • The mind, behaviour and resilience

As a first step I would be open to a discussion with potential sponsors to clarify objectives and approach, for which there is no charge.

Workshops - 2 days

I ran workshops for the leaders that I worked with for 20 years.  The inspiration for this format came from a workshop that I attended when I was learning to lead.  I learned more in those intense, intellectually and emotionally challenging few days than at any other point in my career. I took the format, learned how to make it work and this became an indispensable part of how I developed great leaders.  It was also the part of working life that I lived for.

The format is pretty simple: assemble a group of leaders, provide them with themes, models, important open questions and facilitate the experience, letting the interaction determine outcomes.  Inspiring location; no slides just blank flip charts; 2 times 4 hour sessions per day; intense and yet fun. The only requirement is that people step away fully from their day to day and bring all of themselves.  On time in full, as they say.

This could work for an established group from within one organisation. Alternatively it would work with a group of aspiring leaders from different organisations.

As I build my business and brand this is something that I intend establishing.

At this stage I would welcome expressions of interest from potential participants, potential sponsors and potential collaboration partners. Two day workshops have worked well when I have run them in partnership with others; I am interested in hearing from people who bring content and passion in areas that connect well to mine.
